Job Summary

The Corporate Compliance Officer supports the vision of the Total Healing Environment and the values of respect, integrity, accountability, commitment and quality. Leads, develops and oversees an integrated, enterprise wide Corporate Compliance and Privacy Program to support YRMC and its subsidiaries. Contributes to the fulfillment of the organization's Mission and Vision by planning, designing, implementing and maintaining the Corporate Compliance program, policies and operating practices organization-wide. Coordinates internal audit programs and responds to State and Federal external audits. Serves as the Privacy Officer for the organization ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements and practices.

Job Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate
  • Five years of Corporate Compliance, financial management, regulatory, contract law or auditing experience in a healthcare environment
  • Five years of progressively responsible leadership experience
  • Experience developing and implementing policies and operating practices and establishing monitoring and education programs
  • Familiarity with operational, financial, quality assurance and human resource procedures and regulations
  • In-depth understanding of the healthcare industry with expertise in the body of laws and regulations impacting healthcare systems
  • Expertise in the proactive identification, leadership and resolution of problems or issues
  • Ability to influence and enlist support in achievement of objectives
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with clear, concise and persuasive writing and presentation abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating flexibility, commitment to team work, and a willingness to adapt assignments to meet the organization's needs
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Windows
  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Joint Juris Doctorate/Master's in Healthcare Administration
  • Certification in healthcare compliance (CHC, CHC-F, CHRC and/or CCEP)
