Suburban law firm is looking for a seasoned Worker's Comp Paralegal for a busy department handling high profile clientele assisting in defense of claims from initial claim through settlement.

Responsibilities include:

• Review and analyze initial claim documents for accuracy/inconsistencies
• Recommend further course of action for attorney review
• Review claim activity and perform actions as outlined by attorney (request medical records, obtain other paperwork, prepare correspondence, appeals, motions, objections, etc.)
• Monitor claims and advise the clients on current claim activity
• Docket due dates where needed for appeals, motions, medical records, etc.
• Review and summarize medical records for attorney review
• Analyze treatment protocols and physician reports
• Assist attorneys in preparation for Workers' Compensation hearings by verifying that all reports are received and obtaining other information as requested.
• Attend hearings (as an observer) with attorney
• Attend meetings with attorneys and Clients

3+ years of either worker's comp experience. State-funded or self-insured experience preferred. Paralegal certificate preferred but open to experience.
